Garlic EKO

Garlic (Lat. Allium sativum) is a spicy herb of the family Alliaceae. It is related to the port, leek and rule. It is believed to originate from Central Asia, and from time immemorial used in cooking and medicine.

It was already known to the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. It is quite widespread, although consumed in smaller quantities. It is used as a condiment, and if raw, either in cooking of various dishes. It has a typical smell that essential oil gives. Garlic contains phytoncides, that act bactericidal and is consumed as a folk remedy.
